WHY CHOOSE KARATE?

The beauty of Karate is that this art stimulates mind and body at the same time. Physical fitness is improved whilst mental ability is enhanced through focus and concentration. Karate is flexible which means it can be tailored to suit individual needs, taking into consideration skill levels, age, health, gender and abilities.

TRAINING ENVIRONMENT:

Courtesy, respect and self discipline are the foundation of our teaching methods. Our classes will push you to be the best that you can be, in a sociable, friendly, fun atmosphere.

TUITION:

Akashi Shotokan Karate Club prides itself with the high level instruction our students receive. There are also opportunities for all club members to train regularly with visiting world class instructors.

KARATE FOR ALL:

Children are welcome from the age of 4 years. Encourage your children to take a break from the computer, TV and video games and come along and socialise with other children. See your child become more confident generally, and less likely to be bullied at school. It's a fact that bullies tend to stay away from confident, self assured children!

Learn simple but effective techniques to keep safe. We have a growing number of female members coming along to learn the art of self defence. Many starting to join in the fun, and train alongside their children.

There is no upper age limit to when you start or end Karate, our eldest member being 71 years of age. Fitness and flexibility improve regardless of age and ability, train at a pace that is comfortable for you. Talk to our children and adult students, find out why they train, and the benefits they have experienced from starting karate. Come along to our mixed, family friendly classes and try for yourself, first lesson is free.
