On Sunday the 19th June, we were very lucky to host English Kumite Champion Emelye Oʼbrien at our Carr Manor Dojo. This was a free course funded by Glenn Sensei.The course was a huge success, and all who attended thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Emelye is a really aggressive fighter on the Tatami (Fighting area), although away from Competition, she is a very friendly Karateka, and put our Juniors at ease from the start. Emelye effortlessly showed scoring techniques, one which included the famous “Scorpion Kick” which all found to be very difficult, yet everyone enjoyed trying!! Thank you to all who attended yesterday.
